The business opened its statement by thanking the group’s supporters, referred to as TREASURE MAKERS or Teume for short, for their love and support. The statement continued,

Who Is Bang Ye-dam?
Bang Ye-dam is a well-known South Korean singer. He has been in the news because his contract with YG Entertainment has been officially terminated and he is going to leave the K-pop group TREASURE.
On May 7, 2002, he was born in Seoul’s Mapo District, South Korea. Both of his parents are singers: his mother is Jung Mi-young and his father is Bang Dae-sik. His uncle, Bang Yong-seok, is a renowned director and composer in the industry.
He did his schooling at Sin-seok Elementary School and Kwang-sung Middle School.ย Later, he studied Practical Music at Seoul’s School of Performing Arts (SOPA), which is located in Guro-gu.

Bang Ye-dam took part in the opening music for both the Korean dub of the Japanese anime “Onegai! Samia-don” and the EBS television series “Bboong bboong,” when he was 5 years old.
He made his debut on television on March 5, 2007, in the EBS documentary “15 Second Fever, Hold the World with his Parents.” He achieved his greatest fame by participating in the second season of “K-pop Star” (2012โ2013), where he came in second place.
