Arend Martijn Slot is a Dutch professional football coach and former player who was born on September 17, 1978, in Bergentheim, Netherlands. He is currently working as the head coach of Eredivisie side Feyenoord. He started out his career in football as a midfielder who played for teams like FC Zwolle, NAC Breda, and Sparta Rotterdam before retiring as a player following a return at PEC Zwolle.
He is married to Miriam and that he has children and his children are believed to be in secondary school.

Career
Prior to becoming a manager, Arne Slot was a professional footballer who spent his entire playing career in the Netherlands. After retiring, he chose a path in management and first managed AZ Alkmaar from 2019–2020 and now manages Feyenoord.
Slot led the club to a Europa Conference League final in his first season at the club and has already led them to an Eredivisie title in his second year. And during his third season, he helped them win the KNVB Cup. Just last summer, he was a strong candidate to take over at Tottenham.

Arne Slot usually prefers to play a fluid 4-2-3-1 formation described as “a high-energy attacking football in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with two deep-lying midfielders and a reliance on wingers to create chances.”

We are an attack-minded team that likes to have a lot of the ball, and we play with a lot of intensity.
When we don’t have the ball, we want to win it back as quickly as possible by being aggressive and pressing to win back possession. I think we are a team that is difficult to beat.”
Arne likes to trust in his youth and has a good man-management skills. Despite being a senior manager for just five years, he has already drawn comparisons to Marcelo Bielsa’s style. The 45-year-old likes to play his full-backs high up the pitch with his centre-backs simultaneously moving wider.

Sky Sports have previously described him as “engaging, polite, very smiley, he’s got presence and charisma; and he’s funny.” While possessing all these characteristics, he can also be stern and strict with his players.
Moreover, despite his Dutch background, he can speak fluent English, and has previously expressed interest in joining the Premier League. He said in an interview:
