Sheetal Devi who is a Hindu is an Indian para-archer who was born on January 10, 2007, in Kishtwar. She was born to her parents, Mann Singh and Shakti Devi in Loi Dhar, Kishtwar District, Jammu and Kashmir and also has a sister named Shivani. Sheetal is currently just 17 years old, and the first and only female international para-archery champion without any upper limbs. Sheetal was born with a very rare medical condition called phocomelia, because of which she was born without arms. Despite her disability and problems, Sheetal has built an exceptional career in archery over the years.

Sheetal won her first major medal during the World Archery Para Championships 2023. She won a silver in the womenโs individual compound open archery event. During that same event, Devi won another gold in the mixed doubles compound open archery, and a silver in the womenโs doubles compound open archery.
Following her achievements, Sheetal Devi received the World No. 1 para-archer title in the womenโs open category in 2023. The 17-year-old also won a gold in the womenโs individual compound open archery during the Khelo India Para Games 2023. The Asian Paralympic Committee awarded Sheetal as the Best Youth Athlete of 2023. Sheetal also won the Best Woman Para Archer of the Year award in 2023, presented by the World Archery.
