On Friday, a man was accused in connection with the deaths that occurred on Long Island, New York’s Gilgo Beach. The case has captured detectives’ and national attention for more than ten years.

According to a different source who would not confirm his identity said the suspect is expected to appear in court soon. The source claims that the arrest is centred on the alleged “Gilgo Four,” who were found wrapped in hessian barely days apart in late 2010, and not the other six people later accused of being involved.

Rex Heuermann: Who Is He?

According to its website, Heuermann owns and founded the Midtown architecture firm RH Consultants and Associates. Its clients include American Airlines, Catholic Charities, and NYC-DEP Sewerage Treatment.

He is a father of two and a married man and has a brother named Craig.

In an interview that was posted on a YouTube channel, Heuermann stated that he was “born and raised on Long Island.” He said in the interview, “I’ve been working in Manhattan since 1987, which is a very long period.”

Heuermann is an architect who founded the New York City firm RH Consultants and Associates in 1994, according to the company’s website. He is married to Asa Ellerup who is his second wife.

The Arrest Of Rex Heuermann

The arrest occurred last night after Heuermann left his Manhattan office for the day. Today, police also seized his home in Massapequa Park. There were bodies found at Gilgo Beach in 2010 and 2011, which is located directly north of the modest property.

Since the 1980s, he has lived on the estate. According to reports, he has been on their radar since last year. Investigators tracked the calls from burner phones to the victims’ cell phones more than ten years ago to connect him to the killings.

According to reports, “good, old-fashioned police work” resolved the case rather than any DNA findings. The calls were from places that matched Heuermann’s home and place of employment. What specific piece of information led to his arrest last night is still a mystery.
