According to a sherpa from Seven Summit Treks, the mountaineering business that oversaw the search, Mr Maloo is currently receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, as per ANI.
Amit Chowdhury, a board member for the UIAA, an international association for mountaineering and climbing with headquarters in Switzerland, asserts that climbers can survive after falling into a crevasse.
While descending from a camp at about 6,000 metres (19,600 feet), Mr. Maloo, a citizen of Rajasthan state, vanished.
Om Prakash, his father, spoke to the Indian Express:
While coming down, he slipped and fell into a crevasse between Camp III and Camp II.”
Mr. Maloo conquered an eastern Himalayan mountain range in Nepal last year. His goal was to reach the world’s seven summits, the tallest mountains on each continent, and all 14 peaks higher than 8,000 metres in order to raise awareness of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Baljeet Kaur and four other climbers were rescued by officials from the mountain’s top camps on Tuesday.
Ms. Kaur was the first Indian woman to ascend Mount Manaslu in Nepal without using oxygen in November.
