For the unversed, reports surfaced earlier today suggesting that the Manchester City have signed a deal with Savinho from Troyes.
Contract Details
As per the media reports, City have signed Savinho on a five-year contract, with the transfer potentially worth up to €40 million (£33.7m; $43.7m). Now, the Brazil International will be committed to City until 2029.
With this deal, the 20-year-old become the first signing of Manchester City for their summer transfer window. City will pay €25 million upfront for Savinho, with an additional €15 million in potential add-ons.

What Did Savinho Say?
After the signing, Savinho addressed the media and expressed, “I’m so happy to be joining Manchester City, the Premier League champions and Club World Cup winners. Everyone knows they are the best team in the world right now, so to be here is very exciting for me.”
About Savinho
For the unfamiliar, Savinho whose real name is Savio Moreira de Oliveira was born on April 10, 2004. He is widely known as Savio or Savinho.
Standing at 1.76 m (5 ft 9 in), Savinho, a Brazilian professional footballer, plays as a winger for Premier League club Manchester City and the Brazil national team.
Born in Sao Mateus, Savio joined Atletico Mineiro’s youth setup in 2018. He signed his first professional contract on June 18, 2020, agreeing to a 3-year deal with a release clause of €60 million.
Later, in the same year, he made his professional debut for Atletico after he played in the last 10 minutes of the team’s 4-3 away won over Goianiense in Serie A.
In 2022, he came to spotlight after he scored his first goal as a professional. It was the final goal in 3-1 Copa Libertadores home win over Independiente del Valle.
In July 2022, the player joined PSV on loan for 2022-23 season. In 2023, he was moved to La Liga side Girona on loan until 2023-24 season. Therein, he finished ith 9 goals and 10 assists in a total of 37 games.
Moreover, he made his name for most successfully dribbling in the league with 104. After witnessing his impressive performance, City decided to sign him in a transfer for reportedly worth £30.8 million.
