Who is Angad Pratap?
Angad Pratap is an Indian astronaut and Indian Air Force pilot. He has been in the news because he is going to be part of the Gaganyaan mission, India’s first crewed space mission.
He was born on 17 July 1982 in Prayagraj. His educational journey began in his hometown, where he completed his schooling at a local institution in Prayagraj. Driven by a desire to fly high and serve his country, he then enrolled at the National Defense Academy (NDA).
After being commissioned on December 18, 2004, Angad Pratap began his career in the Indian Air Force’s prestigious fighter branch. He has amassed an astounding total of almost 2000 hours of flying experience while working as a test pilot and flying instructor.
He has flown many kinds of fighter aircraft, including the Jaguar, Dornier, An-32, Su-30 MKI, MiG-21, and MiG-29. Having flown for almost 2000 hours, he works as a test pilot and flying instructor.
