7 months after the death of actor and founder of ‘Waris Panjab De’ Sandeep Singh aka Deep Sidhu, who was just 29-year old, Amritpal Singh who has persistently peddled an anti-Hindu and India propaganda and asked for Khalistan has declared himself the leader of the organization, even after Deep Sidhu’s family denied any knowledge of this.

Deep Singh has always followed the teaching and sayings of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a terrorist who slaughtered scores of Hindus in India. Deep wanted the freedom of Punjab as an individual state with its own rules and regulation. He was in favor of the creation of Khalistan. Sidhu, unfortunately, died in a road accident a few months back in 2022. He was also charged by Delhi Police over his involvement in the Republic Day farmers’ protest violence as well as hoisting the Sikh flag at the Red Fort.
Who Is Amritpal Singh?
29 year old Amritpal Singh left his transport business back in Dubai, UAE to return to India after Deep Sidhu’s accident. Singh is seen dressed in clothes like Bhindranwale and he also surrounds himself with numerous armed men. He considers himself as the head of the Khalistani movement. Singh in his speech, stated, ‘who will violate the sacred Panth order will be taken to task.’
Amritpal Singh Sandhu (born 1993) is the second leader of the Punjabi-centric social organisation, Waris Panjab De and was born in Jallalpur Khera.
The organization was established by Sidhu to fight for social justice and also preserve the rights and the culture of Punjab. Moreover, after the arrival of Singh, the late Deep Sidhu’s family strongly opposed Singh and stated, ‘Sidhu didn’t stand for anything that Singh is now preaching.’
Deep Sidhu’s family was taken by surprise when Singh got access to the organization’s social media accounts and he stated that Singh has maligned Sidhu’s image and ideology. In a huge gathering held in Rode, Singh announced himself as the new leader of the organization which was founded by Deep Sidhu, and said that he was not trying to imitate Bhindranwale amid chants of “Raj Karega Khalsa.”
‘Bhindranwale is an inspiration for me and I will follow his teaching as well as footsteps,’ stated Amritpal Singh. His Instagram and Twitter accounts have been banned in India owing to his hate filled speeches.
