Amit Jainโs Family And Education
Just like Grover, Shark Tank India’s new judge and CEO of CarDekho group Amit Jain is also an alumnus of IIT Delhi. He is a successful entrepreneur, who hails from Jaipur, India and gained work experience from Austin – Texas and opened his first start up there. Later on, when he shifted back to India, Amit Jain teamed up with his brother Anurag Jain to begin his company CarDekho in 2007. He is married to Pihu Jain.
Amit Jain Professional Career
Amit Jain revealed that the idea of beginning CarDekho came after attending an Auto Expo event in New Delhi, India. Sharing the details about their startup, professional networking platform, Jain stated, “Our goal was to leverage technology and offer the best-in-class car buying or selling experience to the users. We set up a portal where people could come to find the right information and review cars before making the decision of buying.”
After finishing graduation from IIT Delhi, Jain joined Tata Consultancy Services as a software engineer and within no time he was promoted to a senior position, as per media reports. Later, he shifted to Texas and began his own startup but after a few years, Amit Jain returned to India and then launched a new software outsourcing company known as GirnarSoft.
