DRI lawyer Bhavesh Acharya is the owner of car involved in the accident with Russian friend Nodira in Raipur’s VIP Road
Late Thursday night, a Russian woman who was apparently drunk struck a scooter carrying three young men, causing a disturbance on VIP Road.
Three young people were gravely hurt after their scooter was struck by a speeding Indigo sedan on Raipur, Chhattisgarh’s VIP Road. Everyone who was hurt was taken to Mekahara Hospital right away. They were later released following treatment.

According to witnesses who spoke to media, the event included a Russian woman and a young lawyer who were both allegedly quite drunk. According to the eyewitness, the Russian woman was perched on the driver’s lap while he drove. Consequently, the automobile lost control and collided with the scooter.
The speeding car collided with the scooter, injuring its three occupants – Neilkamal Sahu, Lalit Chandel, and Arun Vishwakarma, residents of Raipur, Mahasamund, and Balodabazar respectively and all the three, who are involved in video shooting work, were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment for their injuries.
The vehicle belonged to Bhavesh Acharya, a Public Prosecutor for the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), according to the Telibandha police inquiry. But his friend Nodira, who lives in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was driving it at the time of the collision.
Police investigations revealed that the car involved in the crash bore official markings and was reportedly owned by Bhavesh Acharya, the Lok Abhiyojak of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). During the incident, the vehicle was being driven by Nodira, a friend of Acharya and a resident of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, who had arrived in Raipur on a tourist visa and reports indicate that both Nodira and a government lawyer accompanying her were heavily intoxicated at the time, they had apparently just left a pub for a cigarette break.
It was said that Acharya and Nodira were both very drunk. The incident happened at around 12:30 a.m. after they had left a pub and were heading to buy smokes.

The Russian woman created a high-voltage drama at the scene following the incident. She lost her phone, according to witnesses, and began accusing passersby of stealing it. She persisted in her disruptive behaviour even after the police asked her to go with them to the station.
To ascertain the accused’s level of intoxication, the Telibandha police sent both of them for medical examinations.

Investigation
When police arrived on the scene of the incident, mayhem broke out. There was a great uproar after the Russian woman and them got into a furious confrontation. On social media, a video of the event that shows the Russian teenager shouting angrily with the police officers is going viral.
In-charge of Telibandha Station According to Narendra Mishra, the accused has been charged with irresponsible and fast driving. The medical evaluation will determine whether to add more drunk driving charges. Investigations are still ongoing, and the vehicle has been seized.
In the meantime, the hospital is treating the injured patients, who are employed in the video shooting industry.
