As of now, there is hardly any information available regarding the suspect in the car-ramming accident. The only known details of the suspect are that he is a 40-year-old German Jewish citizen hailing from Ludwigshafen with social media users identifying him as Alexander Scheuermann with him being single and unmarried. The suspect reportedly has a history of violent behavior and prior convictions. Moreover, he has previously served a short prison sentence for assault over ten years ago and even got convicted of drunken driving.
The suspect, who prosecutors said was a landscape gardener, remains in hospital in a stable condition after shooting himself with a gun.
Back in 2018, authorities investigated him for a hate speech offense posted on Facebook, resulting in a fine. Following the investigations, officials have ruled out all kinds of religious or extremist motivations but suspect mental illness. Authorities speculated that the suspect suffers from mental illness and that the man did not act alone. Officials are still evaluating all the other objects that they found in his car and home, including a blank gun and written documents.
Prior to his arrest, the suspect reportedly attempted suicide by shooting himself in the mouth. He is currently in police custody after receiving initial treatment in a hospital.

Other similar attacks
Over the past few months, Germany has experienced several car-ramming attacks. Just last month, a 2-year-old girl and her mother passed away after they were injured in a car-ramming attack. The accident took place when the pair were taking part in a union demonstration in Munich. Following the incident, prosecutors linked a 24-year-old Afghan man who came to Germany as an asylum-seeker as the main suspect to an Islamic extremist motive.
In another incident that took place just last year in December, a car plowed into a Christmas market in Magdeburg. The accident killed six people and injured over 200. The suspect from the incident turned out to be a 50-year-old doctor originally from Saudi Arabia. The doctor had previously expressed anti-Muslim views and supported the far-right Alternative for Germany party.
Andrew Tate caught lying again. The attacker was NOT MUSLIM, the one who caught him WAS MUSLIM.
