Akshata Murty Education And Family
Akshata Murty is an Indian citizen and in August of 2009 Murty married Rishi Sunak whom she met at Stanford University. In April 2022 it was reported that Sunak and Murty had moved out of 11 Downing Street to a newly refurbished West London home whose worth is in millions.
Her mother was the first female engineer to work for India’s then-largest car maker and she is now a philanthropist. Murty did her schooling at Baldwin Girls’ High School Bangalore and later on studied economics and French at Claremont McKenna College in California. She has a diploma in clothes manufacturing from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and Akshata did Master’s in Business Administration from University of Stanford. Her father N. R. In year 2007 Murty joined Dutch cleantech firm Tendris as its director of marketing where she worked for two years before leaving to start her own fashion firm. Her fashion label closed in 2012. In year 2013 Akshata became the director of the venture capital fund Catamaran Ventures. She co-founded it with her husband Rishi Sunak.
Since year 2015 Akshata has owned 0.91% or 0.93% share of her father’s technology firm Infosys, valued at around £700 million in April 2022. She has shares in two of Jamie Oliver’s restaurant businesses Wendy’s in India, Koro Kids and Digme Fitness. Akshata is a director of Digme Fitness and the UK subsidiary of Soroco which is an IT business co-founded by her brother Rohan Murty.
