Aanvi had just posted her final reel two days ago, sharing suggestions for the upcoming August 15 weekend.
Cause of death
According to reports, the famous influencer died after falling into a 300 ft gorge near the popular Kumbhe waterfall. The famous waterfall is located in Mangaon, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. Aanvi was reportedly out on a monsoon outing with seven of her friends on July 16. However, their outing suddenly took a turn around 10.30 am when Aanvi slipped and fell while recording a video.
Aanvi Kamdar bio
Aanvi Kamdar was a famous social media influencer and travel blogger who hailed from Mumbai. She was just 27-years-old at the time of her death. According to her Instagram bio, Aanvi Kamdar worked as a chartered accountant and had previously worked at Deloitte.
Aanvi Kamdar has an Instagram account with the handle @theglocaljournal, where she has over 2,68,000 followers. She often shared various content on her account related to travel, luxury discoveries, cafés, itineraries, tips, and personal experiences.
Official police reports
According to a police official from the Mangaon police station, Aanvi Kamdar had reportedly gone to the scenic waterfall along with her friends. While visiting the spot, the group were filming the surroundings when Kamdar sadly fell into the gorge. Her friends reportedly raised an alarm, and police officials along with and local rescuers rushed to the spot. Aanvi was then taken to the nearby Mangaon Taluka Government Hospital before eventually passing away during treatment.

Following the news of Aanvi’s death, social media users have flooded her last reel with condolences and tributes. Aakanksha Monga, another famous travel blogger shared her sorrows stating:
I can’t believe it. This is deeply saddening and has kept me up all night. She was one of the kindest people I knew.
Please, let’s focus on praying for her soul to rest in peace and remember the joy and positivity she brought to our lives. Stop commenting on the ‘reel’ part, we were not there, don’t amplify misinformation. Shame on all the media houses that just take one false article & rewrite it & spread BS. Instead , honor her memory with love and respect. Let’s remember her smile and the happiness she spread. Please be empathetic!!!!!”
