Who are The Pinkertons private investigators sent by Wizards Of The West Coast to confiscate leaked Magic The Gathering cards
Sending the Pinkertons after a magic the gathering YouTuber is the most insane level of Streisand effect I have ever heard. I don’t even care about MTG and now even I know their next box sucks shit on top of being from a company that sends the fucking pinkertons after a youfuber

Alright so we think Niantic is bad.
A Magic the gathering youtuber got shipped the wrong card set. When he made a video about the set, WIZARDS OF THE COAST SENT THE PINKERTONS TO HIS HOUSE TO CONFISCATE THE CARDS

Wizards of the Coast #WotC literally hired hitmen to go after someone who was accidentally sent unreleased magic the gathering cards by a supplier. The #Pinkertons have a dark history. They are hired murderers. #BoycottWizardsOfTheCoast #boycottDnD

The reason behind the move is that the leaked cards are still not yet officially out and are expected to hit stores only by May 12, 2023.

He describes the men from the Pinkertons as who turned up at his house as “two heavy hitter guys”. In the video, he further explains that the product wasn’t stolen and that the person who sold him the cards did not know the card set was unreleased.

The Pinkertons
The Pinkertons is a private security and detective agency that does private investigations for its clients. It was originally established back in 1850 by a Scottish-American cooper named Allan Pinkerton, and a Chicago-based attorney named Edward Rucker around 1850.
Ever since its establishment the modern-day Pinkertons have come a long way. The agency was originally name “The North-West Police Agency” and later renamed to Pinkerton & Co, and then the Pinkerton National Detective Agency.
The Pinkerton rose to fame when Allan claimed to have uncovered the Baltimore Plot to assassinate Abraham Lincoln in 1861. Around the start of the Civil War, the Pinkertons were originally used as a force against organized labor and unions. Several businesses hired the agency to keep strikers and unionists out of factories on several occasions, as well as to infiltrate unions.
However, in the modern era, the agency has since rebranded itself into a personal security and risk management firm.
