Throughout the tournament, Caitlin Clark was the undoubted star of Iowa, and college basketball in general.
Her stats alone are testament to this claim as she averaged 27.3 points per game, and also leads all players, men or women, with five triple-doubles this season. This includes her impressive 41-point triple-double during the Elite Eight stage of March Madness 2023.
Caitlin who is just 20-years-old has undisputedly emerged as the star of March Madness this year. Following her impressive efforts she also recently won the women’s college basketball’s National Player of the Year.
“It’s about time”
Despite her performances leaving many fans and onlookers in awe and surprise, Caitlin’s dad Brent Clark, didn’t find it all that surprising.
He simply stated:
“It’s about time. Needless to say it’s been a great journey so far,” he said. “Let’s just make it even greater.”

Caitlin Clark’s parents are Brent Clark and Anne Nizzi-Clark. Clark comes from a very athletic family with eleven of her family members reportedly having played collegiate sports.
Brent Clark played basketball and baseball back when he was studying at Simpson College before transferring to Iowa State. According to his LinkedIn profile, Brent Clark currently works as the executive vice president at Concentric International. Concentric International is a company that makes equipments for agriculture, landscaping, and construction companies.
Clark graduated from Simpson College back in 1988 with a degree in international management and business sales and marketing. He has since worked in his current industry for over 25 years.
Meanwhile, Caitlin’s mom Anne’s family hails from Italy. Anne previously worked in marketing before she left the her job to help her daughter’s career by leading strategic partnerships for CC22 Ventures LLC. CC22 Ventures LLC is a company set up for Clark, which helps her take advantage of her name, image, and likeness under NCAA rules.
Caitlin has two other siblings, both brothers. Her older brother is named Blake (he is on Instagram @blakecclark) and he also plays football in Iowa State. Whereas her younger brother is named Colin.
