Corach Rambler was the favourite to win the Grand National in 2023, and for the seven happy people who are the owners, this was a dream come true.

Corach Rambler has won two races at the Cheltenham Festival. It is trained by Lucinda Russell, whose horse One For Arthur won the race in 2017. The horse “surprise package” was bought for only £17,000, which is a great deal for a horse with so many skills.

Gary Scott, one of the seven lucky owners and a golf company driver, talked about how excited he was for the Grand National. “Every time I’m drifting off to sleep, that’s how the race goes in my head,” he said. “Corach gets to the Elbow with the two horses to overtake – and he always wins.”

Even though their horse is the favourite, the Grand National is hard to guess, but the owners are sure of their horse’s skills. Cameron Sword, a college student and one of the youngest owners in the history of the National, couldn’t believe he could own a horse that could win such a famous race.

“Corach Rambler was the price of a mid-range car and he has won almost £200,000 and given us two days at the Festival we will never forget,” he said. “We had to pinch ourselves when we were there with owners who have spent millions on the sport. I have been told by many, it doesn’t get better than this.”

Emotional connection of Corach Rambler’s owners with the Favourite Horse

William Wallace is from Scotland, but he lives in Australia. Being on Corach Rambler’s team is a very important thing for him. And talking to the horse is a way for Thomas Kendall, an accountant, to relax after a long day at work. “Corach probably thinks I’m bonkers! I find it therapeutic talking to him,” he said. “I tell him what he has achieved and how proud of him we are. To us, he is much more than the Grand National favourite.”

Owning Corach Rambler is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the shareholders, and the fact that the horse is the favourite to win the Grand National is the cherry on top. Thomas Kendall calls them “normal people,” but they are living a dream that most horse racing fans can only imagine.

On April 15, 2023, the Grand National will be held at Aintree, and everyone will be watching Corach Rambler as he tries to win the biggest prize in National Hunt racing.
