In 1980, Lattanzi, then 20 years old, was employed as a dancer for the musical “Xanadu,” while Olivia, then 31 years old, was portraying the Greek muse, Kira. This is where the two women first had an encounter with each other. After being married in December 1984, the couple welcomed their daughter Chloe Rose into the world in January 1986. When Olivia was given a cancer diagnosis in 1992, the pair resolved to take on this terrifying challenge together.
When Lattanzi was preoccupied with the Australian soap opera “Paradise Beach,” Jessup was hired to assist in caring for Chloe. She rode the three-month distance with the singer and her husband in 1994 as part of the Olivia’s Cancer Charity Cycle Ride. Lattanzi reportedly left Olivia after being questioned about his “very close” connection with the babysitter, who was 23 at the time, and Jessup later joined the family.

“I believe that ultimately, our marriage would have ended, but a disease caused it to happen sooner, which was a good thing. Although it was really hard, we never had a disagreement. We made a deal that our kid was the most important thing in our lives and that we would never argue over her.”

He is 63 years old and now resides in Oregon, a state in the United States.
