Anthoine Hubert was a well-known French racing driver. He has been in the news because his close friend Pierre Gasly remembered him ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix.

His full name is Anthoine Gรฉrard Pol Hubert. He was born on 22 September 1996 in Lyon, France.

He passed away on 31 August 2019 in Stavelot, Belgium. At the time of his death, he was just 22 years old.

His career

Anthoine Hubert began karting when he was eight years old and advanced swiftly. In 2013, he won the French F4 Championship, and in 2014, he switched to the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. He competed in both Formula 3 and the Eurocup in 2015.

Hubert started the GP3 Series with ART Grand Prix in 2017 and won the title the following year. With BWT Arden, he advanced to FIA Formula 2 in 2019 and won races in Monaco and France. Hubert was affiliated with the Renault Sport Academy and gained recognition from Formula 1 teams.
