Dennis Schroder decided to spurn a new four year deal from LA Lakers to join Boston Celtics instead, a decision Shaquille O’Neal hasn’t been able to digest
Despite being one of the more dreary and laggard performers for the Lakers in post-season as they crashed out after losing to Phoenix Suns, Dennis Schroder still managed to be the recipient of a new deal.
While he wasn’t given the $100 million contract he aspired, Dennis was still offered a neat $84 million for four years. However, for some bemusing reason, he decided it was best for him to quash the deal with him deciding to ply his wares elsewhere.

He ultimately ended up switching to Boston Celtics where he’ll be receiving $5.9 million for the one year deal he’s signed. Its an inexplicable bit of decision making from Schroder, one which has left the entire league in angst.
Adding his name to the lengthy pile of naysayers who have hit out at Schroder’s move is Shaquille O’Neal. Taking to Instagram, Shaq posted a picture of Dennis’ move as he wrote,” Things that make you go hmmm.”

Schorder’s move is being attributed to him getting an integral role at Boston. With Fournier departing the Celtics, Schroder is bound to be asked to fill in for him and show why despite a languid last season, he still managed to pull off 14 ppg and 6 apg.
He along with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can form a lethal triad, one which can act as the bagpiper of the Celtics’ sojourn come the 2021-22 season of NBA. Elsewhere, the Lakers have been thriving during the free agency period with the side roping in a slew of worldclass names including that of Russell Westbrook.
The side at the moment makes for an all-star side, one which is being crafted with aspirations of avenging its defeat last term. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis getting the much needed support ahead of the new season, the Lakers could easily end up reclaiming their lost throne.
