KREM 2 got a copy of Taylor’s contract by asking Kootenai County for public records. The contract says that she will be paid $200 per hour during her typical workweek. Kootenai County and Latah County made a deal about who would pay for the suspect’s defence lawyer. As part of the deal, Latah County agreed to pay Kootenai County $200 per hour for a 40-hour workweek.

Latah County will pay Anne Taylor directly for any extra time worked after these times. The contract also says how much Taylor and her group will get paid. Latah County will pay Kootenai County $200 per hour for a typical 40-hour work week.
If Taylor works more hours, Latah County will pay her directly $200 per hour. The second lawyer on this case will be paid $180 per hour during a typical 40-hour workweek. The same process will be used to pay this lawyer as it was for Taylor.
Latah County has also agreed to pay for the lawyers’ travel, housing, and food costs. Also, each hour of work by Anne Taylor’s investigators will pay $45 dollars. The Latah County Commissioners signed off on a copy of the agreement on February 7, and Kootenai County did the same on February 12. But the contract didn’t start until December 30, 2022.

Taylor worked for the Public Defender’s Office from 2004 to 2012 before she opened her own law firm. CDA Press says that she is now on the board of the Idaho Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Taylor was the prosecutor for Kootenai County for five years. She took over from John Adams as the top public defender.
