Antonio Brown’s Dismissal
Brown, drafted by the Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, spent most of his 12-year career in Pittsburgh.
A seven-time Pro Bowler, he won a Super Bowl ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. However, Brown has not returned to the field since 2022, when he famously took off his shirt and left in the middle of a game.
He was dismissed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January 2022 after violating team rules by stripping off his uniform during a dispute with coach Bruce Arians in the middle of a Week 17 game against the New York Jets.
Brown Owes $3 Million to Creditors?
According to journalist Dov Kleiman and documents filed Monday in federal bankruptcy court in Florida, Brown owes approximately $3 million to at least eight creditors.
Among them is Anton Tumanov, a Florida truck driver who was awarded $1.2 million after being assaulted by Brown. Brown did not appear in court for the 2019 lawsuit filed by Tumanov.

Additionally, the documents indicate that Brown is unable to pay at least three six-figure civil judgments. During his NFL career, Brown earned around $77 million, with his last contract being a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Despite this, he claims to have less than $50,000 in assets. Brown has not avoided controversy since his NFL retirement.
