TikToker @kai_lanier uploaded a video in September 2024, warning his followers not to search for the Napkin Skirt video after a different, unidentified user’s video was green screened in front of the TikToker. A user claimed that a female flashing at her in the video while she was in art class was wearing a miniskirt known as a “napkin skirt”. The identity of the user is currently unknown.
The girl in the napkin skirt video was not wearing the “proper” garment pieces underneath her skirt, according to TikToker @walterconahan’s reaction to the purported napkin skirt video.
Other TikTokers shared the aforementioned videos in the months that followed, but they were altered to become sludge content, ostensibly to increase engagement. These videos garnered thousands of likes and views, extending interest in the now viral video.
In just one month, @kai_lanier’s video, which responded to the original, garnered around 4.9 million plays on TikTok. The identity of the original user in the video is still unknown. Some commenters claimed that it was @salmaadaya, a TikToker whose account is currently hidden.
