Yrma Lydya Music Career end Prematurely as Husband Shoots her to Death
Who Killed Yrma Lydya and How it Unfolded?
Mexican singer Yrma Lydya was fatally murdered by her husband on Thursday, June 23, in a restaurant in Mexico City, according to the local police. After being attacked by her partner, 79-year-old Jess Hernández Alcocer, Lydya was shot dead at the Suntory Del Valle restaurant in the city’s south. Her musical career had just started but ended prematurely after this incident.
Soon after the incident, paramedics went to the restaurant and attempted to save Yrma Lydya, who apparently had no vital signs. Gunshot wounds caused the Mexican singer’s death. The singer’s 79-year-old husband attempted to escape in his car but was apprehended by police. Alcocer even attempted to buy off the police to avoid being apprehended. Alcocer reportedly had previously been charged with extortion.
According to Omar Garca Harfuch, Mexico City’s security secretary, a guy shot his wife three times; the guy is currently being held in custody along with another woman who went with him. Witnesses claimed that the singer, who turned out to be his wife, was shot after an argument by a gray-haired man. Alcocer tried to buy his own release from custody by the police as well as the quick detention of one of his bodyguards.
Yrma Lydya’s Origin, Professional Career, And Achievements
Born in 2001, Yrma Lydya was a well-known musician, dancer, and actress. She was the daughter of Carlos Quinones, one of the most famous businessmen from Mexico and the founder of Group Radio Comunicaion, SA in 1960. Sources say that she developed an interest in music at a very early age. Initially, she wasn’t a very famous name. However, she got her biggest break after she got to sing El Viejo del Sombrero with Lucho Argain’s Sonora Dinamita at an event in 2017.
During the national holidays, Lydya made an appearance on the special edition of the Canal de las Estrellas. Additionally, she appeared on Bandamax, Reventon Musical, and Noche con Carlos Cuevas. According to the newspaper El Universal, Lydia has participated in a few performances of Grandiosas 12, a series of concerts that features well-known singers from Central and South America, such as Mara Conchita Alonso, Dulce, and Alicia Villarreal.
