Know about what Russell Westbrook responded to Skip Bayless on Twitter for calling him “Westbrick”
And once again, Skip Bayless is in the headlines for messing up with the Los Angeles Lakers player Russell Westbrook. This is not the first time that the Twitter war started between them. It has been done before too even Nina Westbrook has responded to Bayless several times to defend her husband.
Russell Westbrook Hits Out At Skip Bayless From Calling Him Westbrick
It’s difficult to avoid insulting a player while still being constructively critical of them. Russell Westbrook of the Los Angeles Lakers, who had a terrible season, was frequently criticised as a prime example of this throughout the whole previous season.
The NBA community and sports media frequently referred to Russell Westbrook as “Westbrick” to mock his subpar shooting abilities. Even though he only made 29.8% of his 3-point attempts last season, the nickname used to describe his poor shooting from outside the paint rapidly became out of control.
After the previous campaign, Westbrook supported his wife Nina after she tweeted that their family was being “harassed daily” as a result of her husband’s teasing and public humiliation.
Fox’s Skip Bayless used the chance to criticise Russell Westbrook once more when discussing how youngster Max Christie will fit in with the Lakers. The Lakers point guard responded on Twitter:
Yoooo… watch your mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face. https://t.co/0u8nFXYLY8

Westbrook’s wife also came in defence of her husband once again as she has come to his defence multiple times before as well. Here is what she responded on Twitter:
It’s very disheartening that you would choose to continue to shame my family name. Today was a really sad day my daughters and me. The fact that you can’t respect a simple request not to try to tarnish my family name is saddening and such a pile on. It’s extremely hurtful.

It’s one thing to talk about the Lakers’ present lack of outside shooting, but it’s unprofessional for Bayless to bring up a moniker and shaming approach that Westbrook and his wife have asked to be stopped again.
Since he first put on the purple and gold, the nine-time NBA All-Star has been the subject of considerable scrutiny, so his decision to stand up for himself and the potential retribution that would ensue if he decides to stay in Los Angeles should be expected.
Westbrook has a chance to dispel the sceptics by collaborating with the new Lakers head coach Darvin Ham to design a system that revolves around him, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis. Westbrook is reportedly planning to exercise his $47.1 million player option.
