South Africa won the last T20I against the West Indies and clinched the series by 3-2. However the West Indies vs South Africa fifth T0 was marred by a howler of an umpire decision
The Proteas were the underdogs against the world champions before the series started. Windies had a very strong squad with the likes of Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, and Kieron Pollard.

South Africa won the series after losing the first game of the series but there was a controversial incident in the final game of the series. Wiaan Mulder was batting and it was the last ball of South Africa’s inning. McCoy bowled a clear wide ball which not given as a wide by the umpire and it shocked everyone.

Former Protea cricketers Dale Steyn and AB de Villiers were so shocked with the decision that they tweeted about it. The fast bowler tweeted that, “How on earth is that not a wide???!!!!.” While AB termed the decision as a “Shocker.”
South Africa Clinch Series 3-2
The South African side performed really well in the series to win the series. Their bowlers did a magnificent job against the brutal Windies line-up. Tabrez Shamsi, the number 1 T20I bowler, bowled really well throughout the series and was adjudged as the Man of the Series.
Aiden Markram scored a brilliant 70 runs in the final game was the man of the match. Markram said that he wanted to score runs for his side and it went his way today. He also acknowledged Quinton de Kock for his guidance in the middle and applauded the performance of the wicket-keeper batsman.
Markram said that “I always want to score runs and make a difference. Luckily it went well today. For the majority of the time, we were good with the bat today. A lot of credit has to go to Quinton, he has played a lot of T20 cricket. He has played in all conditions and knows what to do.”
