England vs Hungary began with the visiting fans losing their marbles as visuals of them fighting the police at Wembley emanated from London
Just a minute into England’s clash with Hungary, the Hungarian supporters decided they wanted to quell their insatiable thirst for action.
England vs Hungary Sees Hungarian Fans Fighting At The Wembley Stadium
The section which housed the Hungary fans saw a mammoth brawl erupt in the stands as the visiting fans lost their marbles and went bonkers. Police was forced to intervene in a bid to calm the situation down and disperse the unruly mob as security was rushed into the stands in the Wembley Stadium.

Terrible choice by ITV to keep the cameras on the game & not on the Hungary fans getting cracked with batons #ENGHUN

However, things failed to get better with the Hungarian supporters irked after seeing the security forces. Things needed little time in turning ugly as the visiting team’s supporters and police clashed with the English police on the receiving end of a carnage of punches, ones which forced them out of the stands.
The fight is said to have sparked after the police attempted to arrest a Hungarian supporter for racially abusing a steward.
“Shortly after the start of the match, officers entered the stand to arrest a spectator for a racially aggravated public order offence in relation to comments directed towards a steward,” the Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
“As the officers made the arrest, minor disorder broke out involving other spectators. Order was quickly restored and there have been no further incidents at this stage,” the police added.
While the violence did die down soon afterwards, a flare went off in the Hungary end as Roland Sallai gave the hosts the lead in the 24th minute before John Stones hit back in the 36th minute to see the contest end at 1-1.
