Nikita Mazepin lost the rear of his Haas as he breached the gravel with his spin during FP2 at Zandvoort to see the second red flag of the day ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix

Although the most notable red flag during FP2 was that of Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, Haas’ Nikita Mazepin ensured he managed to catch the limelight as well. He endured yet another spin, the second of the free practice session on Friday as he ended up losing control of his car.

Nikita Mazepin Decides To Spin Once Again During FP2 Ahead Of The Dutch Grand Prix 2021

Losing control of the rear of his Haas, Nikita Mazepin ended up breaching the gravel during turn 11 at Zandvoort to see the second red flag of the day come out. This isn’t the first time he’s gone spinning with the driver having become a meme during the ongoing season of the F1.

Meanwhile, the first red flag was one which really made heads turn with Lewis Hamilton managing to only complete three laps during FP2. Despite climbing all the way into second as he finished his first run in 1m11.911s, Hamilton ended the day in 11th as his day was brought to an early end owing to power loss.

Power Failure For Lewis Hamilton See The Red Flags Come Out On Friday

Hamilton who saw his far fail him due to an oil feed irregularity was instructed to stop his Mercedes at the Turn 8 right-hander at the far side of the track. His car failure was greeted to boisterous cheers from the people in attendance with the home crowd clearly not having forgotten Hamilton maliciously ending Max Verstappen’s race at Silverstone.
