With Hardik Pandya not fit enough to be handed the ball this T20 World Cup, India has a real problem on its hands.
And in a bid to paper over the cracks of a paper thin bowling unit, the side has been trying out a string of solutions during the side’s warm-up matches. The clash between India and Australia on Wednesday saw Shardul Thakur being included in the team’s setup in a bid to rope him in as an all-rounder.

While its unlikely that Kohli will roll his arm over come the world cup, his two overs going for only 12 runs could see the team management consider him in dire situations. India had utilisied only five bowlers in its win over England with the side deciding to switch things up come Australia.
The India bowling contingent was at its clinical best on the day as it grabbed the Australians by the scruff of the neck. Wickets at regular intervals restricted the Australian unit to a measly score, one which India chased down with ease spearheaded by Rohit Sharma’s half-century on the day.
The Indian team will open its world cup soiree when it takes on Pakistan in its first clash of the marquee tournament.
