Kick streamer Jason Lubell Itzler, who is widely known as Mr Based NYC, is grabbing headlines after allegations surfaced online indicating that he assaulted YouTuber Alex Novell as seen in a viral video
Recently, social media platforms, especially X/Twitter, and Reddit, have been buzzing with allegations that MrBasedNYC, a convicted criminal, has assaulted YouTuber Alex Novell.

Reportedly, the alleged incident took place on August 20, when YouTuber Alex Novell was reportedly filming a documentary about MrBasedNYC. A video of the incident surfaced online, sparking a heated discussion online.
As per online claims, Novell was reportedly investigating a murder allegations against Jason Lubell Itzler, when the alleged incident took place.
The incident came to light after a X account, which goes by the name @DramaAlert shared a photo of MrBasedNYC, alongside an image of Novell’s injured face.

The post quickly gained traction online, amassing nearly a million views within a few hours of uploading. Further fueling the speculations, a few hours later, Alex Novell, shared a brief video of the altercation on his YouTube channel.
This incident came to light a month after MrBasedNYC was banned from Kick, after he reportedly attempted to forcibly kiss a woman during a livestream despite her saying no.

For the curious, MrBasedNYC, legally known as Jason Lubell Itzler, is a convicted criminal who has previously served jail time for money laundering, promoting prostitution, and drug-related offenses.
Itzler, who brands himself as the “world’s greatest live streamer,” is known for his IRL content and frequent appearances on popular media platforms.
According to a 2012 report, Itzler was indicted on drug-related charges, as well as promoting prostitution and money laundering, leading to a four-year prison sentence.
Itzler has been creating IRL content on Kick and has been part of the Creator Partnership program for some time.

Meanwhile, YouTuber Novell who has over 20K subscribers, was reportedly filming a documentary on MrBasedNYC when the alleged attack occurred.
Novell has since reposted a video from @MelodyMarsIRL on his X account, featuring TikTok creator powEnvy, who offered further insights into the situation.
In the video, powEnvy claimed that Novell had uncovered a police report implicating MrBasedNYC as a suspect in the death of a young girl named Julia.
As per powEnvy, Novell confronted Itzler about the matter, after which the streamer allegedly struck him with a tripod. Showing photos of Novell covered in blood, powEnvy also claimed that the police were now searching for MrBasedNYC on charges of felony assault and robbery.
