The video of Bottas jumping in the pool has since gone viral on social media platforms with him not having a care in the world to the frenzy going on at Mercedes. Mercedes unfortunately went onto lose their protest which was filed in breach of article 48.12 with the FIA stewards throwing it out owing to article 15.3 of the safety regulations.
While Mercedes went onto subsequently file an intention to appeal in the wake of the massive setback, the side has now decided to not approach the FIA International Court of Appeal. Toto Wolff is said to have resigned himself to facing another defeat with article 15.3 giving race director Michael Masi a complete strongarm over what kind of decisions he wants to make.
