After using Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin’s unexpected collapse on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night to spread false information about the Covid vaccination, Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson received backlash on social media.
Following the collision from an open-field tackle on Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, Hamlin experienced a heart arrest. He was moved to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is still under anesthesia, for additional examinations and treatment.
What did Tucker Carlson attribute?
“What are the unknowns? The list of things we don’t know is long, but let’s start with Damar Hamlin’s heart attack on the football field. There is no way to know the answer, hence we don’t know it. We won’t pretend to know the solution to deceive you. However, a lot of other people have still lied to you,” Carlson remarked.
“They said it couldn’t have been the shot. Be quiet, They are lying, though. They are unaware of that. They do not know anything beyond what we already know, which is nothing. We can’t deny that the shot was the cause. Whether he received the shot is unknown. Both they and we are unsure. Why then do they claim to know something that they do not? Well, it has happened before.”
Social media was enraged by this bizarre claim.
One of them wrote, “It’s breathtaking that Fox News Tucker Carlson would give a crackpot medical opinion on Damar Hamlin condition, Tucker Carlson show should be cancelled.”
While another said, “We also don’t know if it was a micrometeorite that struck him at that exact moment, but I’m going to go with Occam’s razor and accept the explanation by doctors that violent impacts like this can cause commotion cordis resulting in cardiac arrest.”
