Given the sexual misconduct charges levelled against Deshaun Watson after the Cleveland Browns traded for him and granted him a mega-contract, fan reaction has been varied. Despite the fact that his favorite team, the Cleveland Browns, signed Deshaun Watson in March, WWE superstar The Miz has stated that he will remain a Browns supporter.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the 41-year-old stated that he has supported the Browns his entire life and that he will continue to do so, but that there are some things he cannot do. By this he meant that despite being a devoted Cleveland Browns fan, he isn’t really enthusiastic about new signing Deshaun Watson given the nature of latest lawsuits filed against Watson.

The Miz grew up watching players like quarterback Bernie Kosar, running back and wide receiver Eric Metcalf, and Hall of Fame tight end Ozzie Newsome play for the Cleveland Browns.

Watson has been accused of sexual assault by more than 20 massage therapists, with sources claiming that the 26-year-old quarterback met with at least 66 women for massages in the last several years.

Despite the allegations, the Browns offered Watson a fully guaranteed $230 million contract after trading three first-round picks, a third-round pick, and a fourth-round pick to the Houston Texans for Watson and a fifth-round pick. Watson has not been charged officially, but the NFL is looking into the allegations.

Meanwhile, during his team’s practice on Wednesday, Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski declined to comment on the situation.
