When O’Neal and NBA On TNT co-host Ernie Johnson were discussing the game between the Bulldogs and the Horned Frogs last week, O’Neal made the wager that he would eat a frog if the Bulldogs won. UGA’s thrashing of TCU, 65-7, meant that O’Neal would be feasting on amphibians.

On Thursday’s show, after O’Neal tried to make do with chicken instead of frog on Tuesday’s, Johnson (a proud alumnus of the University of Georgia) served him a fried frog on a silver tray.
O’Neal declared, “I’m a man of my word, Ernie.”
O’Neal had promised to eat a horned frog, but he had no idea how difficult it would be. Horned frogs are actually lizards, and as such, it is unlawful to capture, keep, sell, or reproduce one without a special authorization. Johnson was happy to step in and use a real frog when the time came.
Former NBA player and American basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is now a member of the NBA’s Hall of Fame.
