Max Verstappen, the current Driver’s Championship leader, and F1 world champion slammed on the brakes just in time to escape a pile-up.

Charles Leclerc obviously has a feel for his home streets, securing a pole for the Monaco Grand Prix with some deft touch and judgment.
He has a good chance of breaking the jinx that has dogged his fortune here.
Even better for Ferrari’s Monégasque driver, qualifying finished with the circuit reminding his opponents that even little mistakes are punished.
With a two-car incident terminated the session and prevented championship challenger Max Verstappen of Red Bull from finishing higher than fourth on the grid.
After setting a time of 1:12.569 in his hometown, Leclerc will start on the pole.
For the second year in a row, the 24-year-old has won the pole, but he’ll be praying there are no driveshaft troubles this time.
“I’m really extremely delighted,” Leclerc remarked of the qualifying result. The pace was in the automobile, I knew. I simply knew I had to complete the task.”
Perez’s spin wasn’t the only incident in Q3, with Fernando Alonso. A two-time Formula One winner, colliding head-on with a barrier.
On the front row, Sainz joins Leclerc, followed by the two Red Bulls.
Despite a great performance in Barcelona last weekend. Both George Russell and Lewis Hamilton were lagging behind the Ferraris and Red Bulls in the Mercedes camp.
With Russell starting in P6 and Hamilton in P8, Alonso is trapped between the two Mercedes.
Lando Norris of the United Kingdom put up a good performance, starting fifth with his McLaren.
