Senator Ted Cruz Hit With Beer Can During Astros World Series Parade, Video Goes Viral
Ted Cruz’s day during the parade only got worse when he was then hit with a beer can after being booed and insulted earlier in the celebration. The empty drink appeared to be headed straight for the senator’s head in a video taken along the parade route, but fortunately for him, it clanked off his open arm and didn’t appear to hurt the 51-year-old.

Ted Cruz is back in Texas, but he’s still getting boos from the crowd.
The senator recently experienced boos from Houston fans while participating in the Astros’ World Series parade. Fans attacked Cruz as his military jeep travelled through the streets during the celebration honouring the best baseball team, as captured on camera.
Of course, this is not the first time Cruz has experienced protest, two weeks ago, during New York’s ALCS game against the ‘Stros, fans at Yankee Stadium pelted him with abuse.
Cruz, who was wearing an orange shirt and a blue vest to represent Houston, received loud boos, with one man even referring to him as a “racist piece of s***.” Cruz, though, seems to have had the last laugh as his beloved Astros defeated the Phillies, 4-2, in the World Series this past weekend, then shut out the Yankees that evening.
Regarding the remainder of the parade, the players all appear to be having a great time honouring their second championship in six seasons.
