Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher were consoling Lewis Hamilton after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021 which he lost to Max Verstappen
As the season finale race got underway with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2021, Lewis Hamilton managed to get a massive advantage in the first lap itself. He ended up overtaking nemeses Max Verstappen, going onto hold onto his lead till the 53rd lap when the roof came crashing around the Mercedes man’s head.
As Nicholas Latifi crashed into the barrier, Hamilton’s dreams of winning a record eighth drivers’ championship title were slowing vanishing up in smoke. Despite racing a flawless race, the Brit had things taken out of his hands as FIA race director Michael Masi decided it was time for him to run the show.

Red Bull decided to make the most of the break as the safety car was deployed with the side calling Verstappen in to get a fresh change of new soft tyres. In the meanwhile, Masi went onto reveal that no overtaking would be allowed once racing resumed on the night.
However, only four minutes later, the Australian had a change of heart with him deciding he wanted five lapped cards to be allowed to pass. The move was a massive shot in the arm for Verstappen who now spurred by fresh tyres went onto edge his way past Hamilton.
The win gave Verstappen his first title with him becoming the first ever Dutchman in the process to win the glistening title. Sebastian Vettel and Mich Schumacher were meanwhile seen rushing over to Hamilton as soon as the race ended to console him in a gesture which has been immensely hailed since.
