With only five laps left in the race on Saturday, vehicle driven by Preece struck teammate Chase Briscoe’s vehicle.

His automobile flipped ten times before hitting the infield grass, which made the situation worse. With two laps remaining after the incident, the race continued. Chris Buescher won his third race of the year as teammate Brad Keselowski of Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing powered him into the lead.
