However, something else also transpired during the match that captured everyone’s attention. A teenage Indian supporter who wanted to see Rohit Sharma broke through the MCG’s security during the game to access the playing area.
The young boy was seen crying as he approached the Indian captain, but he did not get much time to speak with him before security led him from the stadium. Security personnel stepped in and removed the little boy out of the ground after interfering with the situation.
The event took place when Zimbabwe was pursuing 187, and a video of it has now gone popular on social media.
However, as the security personnel was dragging the boy out of the stadium, Rohit ran in their direction of them and could be seen giving the young child a thumbs-up sign. The video of the whole incident immediately went viral, calling it an ultimate fan moment.

According to information obtained, the fan was fined a hefty INR 6.5 lakh for violating the MCG’s rules.
Speaking of the game, India made the decision to bat first after winning the toss. Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 61 runs in only 25 balls, helped the team to put a total of 184 on the board.
