Watford vs Liverpool turned out to be lopsided affair as the visitors trashed the hosts courtesy of a Roberto Firmino hat-trick
What was touted to be a dicey affair for Liverpool turned out into a saunter in the park for Jurgen Klopp’s men. The side came away with a resounding 5-0 win from Vicarage Road, a triumph which was tailored courtesy of a Roberto Firmino.
At a time when Liverpool traveled to Watford devoid of the services of goalkeeper Alisson and midfielder Fabinho, things didn’t look quite so upbeat for the club. And with Watford roping in Claudio Ranieri ahead of the tie, Liverpool could have easily been in a soup on the day.

However, that narrative needed little time in tearing up and throwing out of the window as Sadio Mane went onto give the side the lead in the 9th minute. That lead was soon doubled in the first half as striker Roberto Firmino scored for the visitors.
However, a relentless Liverpool side was far from satisfied. Come the second half and Liverpool put on a real show with the side scoring thrice, two of which came from Firmino’s feet as the Brazilian scored his hat-trick on the day.

His third goal came right at the tailend of the encounter, a befitting strike to complete what was a sublime performance for the player. The fixture also score Mohamed Salah score a worldly goal of the season strike.
The win was a stamp of authority from Liverpool, one which will buoy the side ahead of its Champions League encounter with Atletico Madrid next week, a clash where Fabinho and Alisson will both be returning to the setup.
