Both Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli disagreed with each other over opting for the DRS as the captain’s decision to opt for it swung against India
For quite some time now, Virat Kohli hasn’t been enduring the best of times on the cricket field. Apart from his acts of over aggressiveness, the Indian captain has failed to really translate his shenanigans on the pitch into anything meaningful.
Be it losing the toss on an unprecedented 36 occasions, the most by any test captain in Indian cricket history, wavering with the bat or taking shambolic DRS calls, Kohli is enduring his worst period in red ball cricket. The same was on show during day 2 of the Lord’s test match between India and England.
Rishabh Pant And Virat Kohli Disagree Over DRS During England vs India 2nd Test Match
As Mohammed Siraj caught Joe Root on the pads in the 23rd over, the entire Indian team went up in raucous appeals. While the ball was moving too much too veer well clear off the leg stump, the Indian side refused to let down the intensity of its appeal knowing the value of the wicket.
It was rightfully given not out, a decision which Rishabh Pant was well to understand why. However, captain Virat Kohli had other thoughts on his mind as he conferred with Mohammed Siraj.

In the midst of the discussions, Pant was seen pleading with Kohli to not opt for the DRS. The two were seen involved in a squabble with Kohli refusing to heed the wicket-keeper’s advice as he went for the review, one India ended up losing due to the ball missing the stumps.
