Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could have easily scored twice in the first half against Rangers if it wasn’t for his horrid miss
Ever since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has signed a new deal at Arsenal, the player hasn’t looked more disinterested in playing for the club. Rather than rewarding the side who reposed faith in him by breaking the bank for him, the African player has decided to take his mind off the game.
Enduring a horrendous 2020-21 season for Arsenal, Aubameyang’s laggard showings played a major part in Arsenal dwindling and waning in form. For the player, the ongoing preseason friendlies were much needed, encounters which were touted to help the striker regain his form.
However, its been far from that. Rather than tying his shoes up and hitting the ground running, Auba has been dreary and languid yet again with him showing absolutely no interest in overhauling his sorry form.
It’s a plight which was well emoted to in Arsenal’s preseason friendly against Rangers on Saturday. Aubameyang dished out one of the worst performances he’s ever delivered in Arsenal colors as he went onto miss a torrid goal scoring chance.

As Emile Smith Rowe ran riot in Rangers’ half, Arsenal looked set to wrap up Rowe’s searing run with a goal. Rowe sent the ball across the face of the goal, a pass which landed at Aubameyang’s feet right infront of goal.
And with Rangers’ shot stopper well away from the goal, Aubameyang couldn’t have augured for a better chance to score. However, a meek and timid effort straight at Rangers’ defender was well blocked to leave Arsenal supporters in disbelief at what they had seen.

Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t the only miss on the day for Aubameyang. The striker missed another simple header to worsen his first half outing and see Arsenal head into the break with scores level at 1-1.
Arsenal supporters are meanwhile ardently awaiting an official announcement from the club regarding the transfer of Ben White. It’s the only bit of news which can lighten the blow of the torrid Aubameyang display they have witnessed today.
