However, despite being rattled, Rahul refused to down his tools. He showed immense fight and character once the second round commenced, overhauling his underperforming form as he stunned the Singapore Indoor Stadium with an unlikely win.

Coming hot out of the blocks in round two as he looked to make an early impact, the Juggernaut Fight Club man just about managed to miss Nergui with his lethal head kick. Trying to keep up the ante, Rahul pushed for the double-leg takedown, one which could have potentially ended he fight for him.
Not only did Nergui stave away Rahul’s attack but he ended up pulling out a guillotine chock of his own, one which looked headed to end the Singapore based India’s fight. In a pickle, Rahul showed gargantuan girt and determination as he escaped out of the hold and managed to survive an uppercut and left hook as well.
Left huffing and puffing by the sequence, Rahul looked set to surrender the bout before he pulled out a leg hold, wrapping his legs around Nergui’s waist and locking him in a rear-naked choke to script a submission win at 3:54 of round two.
