Srivastava and Yusuf Pathan with the bat and Pankaj Singh with the ball did the job for India Maharajas. The World Giants started off well after opting to bat first. Irelands K O’Brien scored a brilliant 52 off 31 balls at the top and at one point it looked like World Giants will reach over 200. Dinesh Ramdin also played a handy knock of 42 runs but in the end, it was Pankaj Singh’s 3-wicket maiden over which dismantled thier innings.
World Giant posted a competitive score of 170 runs despite a poor finish.

Pankaj Singh bowled a superb last over when Kaluwitharana and set batsman Dinesh Ramdin were batting. Pankaj removed Romesh Kaluwitharan on the very first ball of the last over. Then bowled a quick length ball to new batsman Tim Bresnan who tried to whack the ball out of the park after playing a dot ball. He top edges the ball and Bhajji took a brilliant high catch. Vettori also didn’t have any answer to Pankaj’s bowling and got clean bowled on the last delivery of the innings.
Yusuf and Srivastava 100 run partnership powered Indian Maharajas to a 6-wicket victory
The deadly striker of the ball Yusuf Pathan showed his power once again. He played a brilliant knock of 50* runs in just 35 deliveries after the team was under pressure on 50/3. He along with Tanmay Srivastava took the game away from the world giants. Tanmay got out after scoring match-winning 54 runs. Irfan Pathan finished the game in style by hitting 2 back to back sixes.
