An old video of upcoming Indian cricket star Jemimah Rodrigues is currently going viral across the internet. The video is reportedly from 2015, and showcases an event organised by ‘Bro Manuel Ministries’, which is an evangelical organisation. The X user who shared the video online shared details about it stating how Jemimah’s father used her in an evangelical event. The old video reportedly surfaced up after Khar Gymkhana revoked Jemimah’s membership due to her father’s ‘religious activities’.
The video shows as a 15-year-old Jemimah expressing gratitude to God while speaking to an packed auditorium about scoring 25 runs off 37 balls during a match. The host then approaches her and acts as if she is possessed before collapsing on the ground.
Khar Gymkhana revokes Jemimah Rodrigues membership
Khar Gymkhana, an elite gym located in Mumbai, recently terminated the playing membership of Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues following which the video went viral. According to the gym’s managing committee member Shiv Malhotra, Jemimah’s father Ivan Rodrigues reportedly booked the sporting club’s banquet hall for ‘meetings to religious conversions’ using her daughter’s ID on several occasions.

Her father Ivan who is a pastor, preacher and cricket coach reportedly organized the events between March 2023 and November 2024 under Brother Manuel Ministries. The gym reserves the right to do so as the bye-laws Rule 4A of the constitution of Khar Gymkhana state how their premises will not allow any religious activities. Notably, ‘Bro Manuel Ministries’ shared in their YouTube page how they have a Sunday one-day retreat twice a month at Khar Gymkhana. Jemimah Rodrigues was reportedly the first female Indian cricketer to receive a Khar Gymkhana membership in March of last year.
