The illustrious wide receiver was led off a plane bound for Los Angeles on Sunday. However, it was stopped by local enforcement, who claim that OBJ’s erratic behaviour was frightening for the flight crew and that they were left with no choice but to intervene. As a result, the plane never took off.
Official statement from the police
According to Miami-Dade PD, they were summoned to an American Airlines flight where staff members were allegedly trying to convince Odell to fasten his seatbelt before take-off. Police said the crew, however, asserts that he was conscious and unconscious at different times.
American Airlines dialled for help as they were concerned about his health. However, it is claimed that Odell resisted getting off the plane when the aid arrived, forcing everyone else to do so before OBJ eventually left on his own while being followed by uniformed officers.
As he moved silently through the airport, Odell was quickly recognised by spectators. Police claim that he completed all of this without further incident and was ultimately able to make alternative arrangements. Nothing else, such as arrests, citations, or the like, came of it. The man is expected to begin making trips around the nation in the coming days to see which teams could be interested in trying to sign him to their roster.
