The incident has created enormous outrage in Bareilly.
After Durgesh Gupta showed the locals the video of Sharif urinating on the veggies, they thrashed Sharif until he was completely unconscious. According to Hindu Jagran Manch district president Harsh Bhardwaj, “This man has been selling veggies here for many years. Due of his elderly age and difficult labour, Sharif used to sell veggies to the majority of the neighborhood’s people. However, this action has undermined public confidence.
The accused has to appear in Court.
SSP Styarth Anirudh Pankaj of Bareilly reports that the accused vegetable dealer is still being questioned. He will have to appear in court. In the footage, he can be seen urinating on the produce stored at the bottom of the handcart.
