On Saturday, December 3, 2022, New York Police Department dropped a shocking video showing an unidentified man whipping a 47-year-old over the head using a baseball bat with the NYC attack video viral

The incident which took place on the sidewalk of Manhattan has captured the culprit pulling the bat from his pants and hitting in the back of the victim’s head.

For those who are unaware of the situation, let us tell you, the incident took place on November 29 at around 8:06 A.M in front of 1770 Amsterdam Avenue in Hamilton Heights.

The clip of the incident showed the victim being knocked out on the ground as the culprit continued to attack him while yelling aggressively as he was walking away.

A few seconds later, the attack returns again and yells back at the victim and then leaves again. The victim who had suffered bruising and a laceration was instantly rushed to New York City’s Health and Hospitals/Harlem.

As per a report by the New York Post, the victim seemed to be in a stable condition now. Meanwhile the investigation for the search of the culprit continues.

The investigators described the attacker as a male with light complexion, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with Nike on the front.

As per the statement given by cops the attacker was wearing gray sweatpants and black sneakers.

As per the statistics showed by NYPD back in August, this year, the crime rate has been growing in the New York City and has saw a jump in murder cases by 31% in July, 2022, compared to July, last year.

According to a report by DailyMail, the city has recorded 178 shooting incidents in July, this year which are up from 157, which was counted in July, last year.

As per the outlet, there was also an increase in the robbery cases by 37% in July, this year compared to July Last year.

While talking about the increased crime rate in the city, the Police Commissioner, Keechant Sewell, revealed to reporters in an earlier statement that, “Everyone who lives, works and visits here deserves to be safe, and the members of the NYPD will tolerate nothing less. But we cannot do it alone.

“When violent criminals are willing to carry illegal guns on our streets and brazenly shoot at innocent people they must face real consequences.”
