The Lakaka meme has been the talk of the town on Twitter with it going viral after the comments made by Romelu Lukaku in his interview
Although modern football is largely bereft of any values and morals, the least bit of decency a player has these days is to respect the club he’s employed with till the time he’s playing for them.
While players are seen lashing out at their managers after a season at the club, Romelu Lukaku decided all he needed were six months to turn his back on the club which had broken the bank for him. Despite Chelsea loosening the strings of its purse back in the summer to shell out a staggering 97.5 million pounds for the Belgium based striker’s services, Lukaku decided he wanted to hit out at the club.
Lakaka Meme Goes Viral After Romelu Lukaku Gives Perplexing Interview
Despite being sidelined with an injury and a spell of COVID for a majority of the time since he’s joined the club and scoring only recently for the first time since September, Lukaku decided he wanted to blow his own horn. A recent interview saw him lambast coach Thomas Tuchel as he spoke about how he was being played in a system which didn’t favour him.

He also spoke about how he aspired to move to Bayern Munich, Barcelona or Real Madrid before Chelsea and how he yearned for a move to Inter Milan in the impending future. The comments came only six months after he had claimed he was back to his home to finish remaining business.
And rightfully so, the comments have irked Chelsea fans who have been miffed with the striker. Social media platforms have since been set alight with the Lakaka meme, a trend which has gone viral to mock Lukaku and his footballing abilities.
