The Macau Open Badminton Championship is an international badminton competition held annually since 2006. As the name suggests the tournament is held in Macau. The tournament is being held annually ever since 2006, however, it was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of the covid-19 pandemic.

Since it’s commencement back in 2006 the tournament has been held for every category. Some of the very best players in the sport have gotten their hands on the trophy. In 2019, when the tournament was last held there was a total of $150,000 prize pool distributed amongst the players.

Macau Open Badminton 2021
The Macau Open Badminton 2021 was scheduled to be held from 2nd November to 7th November in 2021, however, the covid outbreak in Macau cancelled it for the second year running. The Hylo Open 2021 replaced the Macau Open and is being held on the same date.
