Abubakar and Khamzat were seen on video shaking hands and talking to each other during what looked like a friendly argument. However, when Chimaev shoved Nurmagomedov, things quickly got out of hand, and all hell almost broke loose.

Good thing security was there right away to break up the fight before it got worse. This could have become a very bad situation. Dana White was asked about the fight at his press conference after the fight, but he didn’t seem to care at all. Based on MMA Fighting:

The UFC President told reporters, “I didn’t even know Khamzat was coming tonight. Abu Dhabi asked him to come here. So Abu Dhabi owns the seats behind me here in Abu Dhabi.” Khamzat and Abubakar seem to have some bad feelings for each other because Abubakar took shots at Chimaev on social media after the unbeaten welterweight called out Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Chimaev was born in the Chechen Republic of Russia. When he was five years old, he started wrestling there. He may have won a bronze medal at the junior level of the Russian National Championships. When he was 18, his mother and he moved to Sweden to live with his older brother.
